Stress...

Do you ever worry about things that you know you shouldn't worry about? I'm horrible about that! For example, I have a mole on my upper back in the area between my neck and left shoulder. It's been on the doctor's "watch list" for several years now and has changed enough that I need to have it surgically removed on Monday. It's outpatient surgery. It's completely routine. I know in my heart there's nothing seriously wrong. So... why am I so tense and freaking out about it? The phrase "let go and let God" comes to mind, but actually FOLLOWING that? Well, that's so incredibly hard for me to do. Today, I pray for the strength to wait with patience.

My little guy

Our little man has slept through the night two nights in a row now. He turned 7 months old Friday and has slept through two nights in a row... is this a fluke or a precedent? Good GOLLY, I hope this is the start of something beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful, David is incredibly handsome. I just marvel at his tiny lips, his cute nose, his eyes filled with wonder... we are blessed. He is the gift from God that we prayed for all of those years, and we are very, very blessed.

Can't wait!

My brother and SIL are coming to visit us in two weeks, and they'll get to meet their nephew. I can't wait for them to come and for the laughter and love to multiply. They are going to have SO much fun with our little man. Here is a picture of them with their niece (my SIL's sister's girl). Can't you imagine how much fun they will have with their nephew? :-)
