Getting better...

Well, the bronchitis is slowly, stubbornly, losing the battle. I'm starting to feel like myself again, but the fatigue and the cough are ANNOYING me.

Bob and I just finished watching a show on TLC about the adoption process called "Family Makers" that was pretty good. It doesn't sugarcoat the process like some do, but it provided prospectives from the agency's social workers, the adoptive parents and the placing birthmoms (and some of their friends/family members too). I liked it. I hope to see it perhaps develop into a series because I think parents and friends might better understand the process when words fail to explain the emotions.

Bronchitis

Ugh. I didn't want to get sick this year, but it happened again. I've had bronchitis every school year since I student taught back in 1993. EVERY school year! Ugh. This time it kind of snuck up on my while I was recovering from stomach stuff. Sure, why not? Kick me while my resistance is down!

I'm on a Z-pack and two different kinds of cough syrups (the "ya wanna sleep four hours" kind and the "ya wanna sleep twelve hours" kind). I just want to sleep. Sleep, drink some water or juice, then sleep some more. My doctor told me I need to be out the rest of the week. Normally I would want to argue and try to fight him down a few days, but I'm just too tired. I need to get over this!

Happy Valentine's Day! (Not. Sorry Bob!)

Tired...

Another day, another half-day meeting. I hate being pulled out of my classroom so often. It seems that the only way to get training is to be pulled out, but then all we seem to talk about is all of the standards/requirements that we need to be meeting in the classroom... but we have to be pulled out to be told this. Never-ending battles.

I'm soooo glad tomorrow is Friday. I need to get some sleep and come back refreshed on Monday for a full week.

I love my students, but on weeks like this (out one day for a sick day, another 1/2-day meeting, and worked until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday night for conferences...) I need a friggin' break!
